What is a good AP World score?
A 3 is a good AP World score because it is passing and means qualified. Many colleges start credit at a 3, but some ask for a 4 or 5.
A 4 shows strong work with historical evidence and argument. A 5 is the top score and gives you the best chance at credit or placement.
How to get a 5 on AP World
Build timelines by region and theme. You need to see change over time, trade connections, empire building, migration, conflict, and social change.
For the DBQ, practice grouping documents and explaining sourcing. Do not just quote documents. Explain how each document supports the argument.
For essays, write a direct thesis, use specific evidence, and connect that evidence to a larger historical process. Clear reasoning matters more than long sentences.
