AP Psych exam format (2026)
The 2026 AP Psychology exam is fully digital. You complete the multiple-choice and free-response sections in Bluebook, and your answers are submitted through the testing app.
Section I has 75 multiple-choice questions in 1 hour and 30 minutes. It counts for 67% of your score. The questions ask you to apply psychological concepts, evaluate research methods, and read data displays.
Section II has 2 free-response questions in 1 hour and 10 minutes. The first question is the Article Analysis Question, often called the AAQ. The second is the Evidence-Based Question, often called the EBQ. Each question is scored out of 7 points.

What is a good AP Psych score?
